A trial of tribulations as Langleybury are welcomed to Cobden Hill.

Its a strange start to the day as your correspondent who is early and chatting to the Umpires suddenly realised he has forgotten his keys and must return to Stanmore. Oh the joys of multiple bunches of keys.
A lovely day and Rahil lost the toss and Bury decide to take first hit on Nicks road.
Channer sr and jr open and DJ has the dangerous Ross caught by NElson. 9 nicknames Chip joins in the act and its 10 for 2.

Lee Channer and the young Matthew Dickson bat confidently until Lee is bowled by a superb yorker from 15 year old Tom Palmer although he seemed to rick his back and doesnt bowl again in the match.

As usual our ground fielding led by Sid, Alex Triple threat and Rahil is superb but Manzoor and Dickson are playing well when Rahil plays his trump card.........himself and Sidd bowling in tandem. Sidd bowls |Manzoor and Rahil snares Dickson and the impetus is halted until Md Shayel Ahmed Oli plays the ugliest innings of cuts and sweeps and that ladies and gentlemen are his only 2 shots and he anchors the innings to 195 for 9 after 50 overs. Ross was his normal self DJ will bowl worse ands have better figures. Tom Palmer shows immense promise The Wiz was off for him but Sidd and especially Rahil were sensational. Mickey bowled at the death and did what Mickey has done for years kept it tight.

Tea was consumed and we must bring teas being eaten. The cost of a meal deal is now over £ 4 so a fiver for a real tea is not unacceptable.

Sid and Tej open up and are making batting look ridiculously easy with Sidd showing maturity and Tej was well Tej. 130 runs flowed and then Sidd Tej Alex and Tom all got out leaving us 130 for 0 to 144 for 4.

Enter Nicky and Micky who played superbly sensibly and saw us home with 3 overs to spare without giving a chance.

A good workmanlike 30 points and we know Langleybury will improve .

Man of the match A difficult one this but Sidd just
TFC A very hard one this but for once his radar let him down as well as his leg - The Wiz
