This proved to be a very satisfying game of cricket for Radlett. Lots of telling contributions meant we won this match comfortably, which was especially pleasing given we were playing the game with 10 players.

Asked to bat, Isaac, one of our two last minute U13 recruits, batted extremely maturely and set the foundation for us to build on. He and Rohan saw off their competent opening bowlers. When Isaac departed for a well made 20, Aryan came to the crease and scored runs at will, his 28* (3 fours, 2 sixes) coming from a mere 12 balls, his ball striking was simply delicious! Issa and Ethan C (our other U13) then compiled the partnership of the match, Issa scoring an impressive run a ball 27* and Ethan C not far behind with 22. The eventual total of 150-3 put us firmly in the driving seat.

Any doubts of us not getting over the line in this game were extinguished early, with captain Ben (3-1-8-1) and Eeswar (1-9) claiming a wicket a piece in the opening salvo. It was then a case of managing the situation, the fielding and our attitude was spot on and Rickmansworth never threatened, finishing on 104-7. Other wicket takers were Coby (1-12), Aryan (2-13), Isaac (1-4) and Rohan (1-10). Aryan picked up another catch and Issa completed a good day with 2 nice takes behind the stumps.
