Match report THE GAME OF THE RETURN VISISTS AND THE EMBRYOS COME OF AGE

The start of the return games and our visitors are from the lovely setting of Eversholt. They are a one side club and apparently thought about calling off the game as they had a shortage of players with Eid and illness and injury.

Eversholt win the toss and bat on the hottest day of the year. Chris Arul has been taken by the ones so in pops Prabhdeep Singh one of our exciting 14.15.16 year olds. The ball is handed to Ross 7 Nicknames who wanted to cry off with a sore hamstring. Now I'm no Doctor but why are we suffering so many hangovers....ie mean Hamstring injuries.
Ross open from his favourite Scorebox End and in his first over snares the dangerous Garratt with a ripper and Umpire Rivlin raises the digit. Khan joins young Birch and and a very good partnership is built until Troy "The better" Barrett gets an edge despite Jonny trying to push it round the post Matt Skipper for the day Rose grabs a good catch.

42 for 2 immediately becomes 42-3 as azam goes the same way snared by Matt. Hat Trick sees an in ducker played out by Eversholts groundsman Bevis Rotherham. We had to ask his name as the Eversholt scorer did not know him. Relief is short lived as Troy then bowls Rotherham, 44 for 4. Skipper Nichols joins Khan who has batted slowly but sensibly gets an absolute snorter from Koby and Jonny takes another catch some 7 minutes after injuring his thumb and causing a 17 minute injury delay. It was a fabulous ball by young Kobster and well snare by Jonny. Prab joined the party and lbwed Denton but this brought in young Jack White. He played very well and aggressively with some good defence scoring in good areas and he looks a good prospect.
Troy came back and with his first ball got one to jump at White and Jonny took a very good catch. The young player of the half season Koby removed Vishal and then was dragged to his books!!!! Troy got his 5th with a good catch by Abhay and Eversholt get 185

A lovely Wenzels tea was enjoyed (need teas back in the pavilion)

Tej opened with Skipper Matt and quickly get in the rhythm and go smoothly playing sensibly until Matt is bowled by Ullah. Abhay and Neel unusually for them fail and Joh=nny Bruised thumb and all joins Tej and they play absolutely beautifully with aggression good defence and are severe on anything loose on the Road. JOnny nearly catches Tej but Tej gets his 50 Jonny gets his (in considerably less balls) and Tej gets 3 fours in an over leaving Jonny to smash the winning runs in 36.2 overs.

This is an exciting team with youth experience and a very old scorer.
We need to be hard and strong and everyone play the best we can.
We need to be available each week and make sure that we get Radlett 2s into Div 2a
