Radlett CC 4th XI v Stevenage III on Sat 25 Jul 2015 at 1:00 pm
Radlett CC Won by 1 wicket

Match report Exciting game! The covers had leaked, so there was a massive wet patch just on a length at one end, so stand-in skipper Neil Cornwell inserted the opposition. George Pepper and Freddie Wright both took wickets, but it soon proved to be a spinner's wicket, with Anje Lague and Neil (bowling cutters/offies) then working through the rest of the Stevenage batting, assisted by a Shon Alisha run out. The final total of 134 could have been less, but the number 10 had a bit of a mow.

The wicket was really taking spin and Stevenage opened with their offie, who seemed to have a bad case of Tourrette's. Anna Harris was LBW and then Freddie Wright, having been patient at a sequence of about 16 dots, tried to go over the top and toed one. Ben Scott was then promptly bowled for one. Matt Bell was LBW, but Neil batted superbly, alternating stout defence with brutal force. He was dropped appallingly twice! He was supported by the other batsmen, but was eventually out for 70 with about 6-7 to win. In a tense finish, Shon held his nerve and knocked off the winning runs.
