Potters Bar III v Radlett CC 4th XI on Sat 18 Jun 2016 at 1:00 pm
Radlett CC Lost by 49 runs

Match report In desperate need of a win, skipper Warne inserted the opposition on a grassy wicket. However, some sloppy ground-fielding and too many four-balls allowed Potters Bar to add 30 or 40 more runs than should have been the case.

Radlett's bowlers were more dangerous than those of the opposition, bowling a number of "jaffas" that were too good to get a result. In contrast, the top three Potters Bar bowlers were extremely accurate, bowling 11 maidens between them. At least this week Radlett batted sensibly and were generally got out rather committing suicide. Azhar Kayani again proved the star batter, with a fine 54, with Sarath Parayil (batting too low at nr 9) batting beautifully for his 19 not out.

This loss, against a side that were sitting just above them in the table, leaves Radlett marooned in bottom slot, 56 points adrift. There is some decent talent in this team, but the side has not yet been able to field what could honestly be called a full 4th XI. That needs to happen soon, otherwise the gap to safety will quickly become too wide.
