After losing the toss and being stuck in, the II’s found ourselves in trouble at 4-2, but a 50-run partnership between Jimbo and Grant helped the situation, before 2 more quick wickets left the score at 55-4. By this time, Grant was in full swing, taking on the Berkhamsted bowling with great success. He passed his 50 with a 6 and progressed on to his hundred with aggressive stroke play all round the ground. Once the captain had fallen for 43 after a partnership of 113, Radlett were in a much better position at 168-5. Grant eventually fell for 127 off 95 balls, and despite losing a few quick wickets, the II’s declared on 233-9 off 47 overs.

Berkhamsted got off to a solid start, before 3 quick wickets left them 39-3. Grant after his exploits with the bat taking 2 and the returning Brownie with 1. Brownie then switched ends, and after young leg-spinner Seb Schusman joined him in the attack, they ripped through the opposition’s lineup. Seb took 3 wickets, including Berkhamsted’s aggressive Aussie for 54, whilst Brownie did the damage, ending with 5-45 off 16.3 overs. Berkhamsted were all out for 135 with 17 overs remaining, giving the II's a 98-run victory.

Overall a really good performance, with 2 outstanding contributions from Grant and Brownie, and 30 points!
