My name is Kabir Toor and I am the 1st XI captain for Radlett. I am now in my 12th season at Radlett and it is only the second club I have been a part of, joining from Uxbridge Cricket Club in the Middlesex league when I was 16 (2006.) I had been there since the age of 7. During this time I spent 4 seasons on the Middlesex County staff racking up a grand total of 3 1st XI games.
Full Name: Kabir Toor
Also known as: Toornado (Self-given,) Pea Head (due to my head being the size of a pea.)
First picked up a bat at age: 5
Away from the cricket field I am: Top quality dodgeball player and a full time Mesut Özil fan.
How long have you been with RCC: Entering my 12th season.
Best memory at RCC: 2007’s Herts Cup final win at Shenley. First trophy I had been a part of and a big and rowdy RCC crowd!
Who has the most to offer in the changing room: Past- Heath Paynter. Present- Randeep Sanghera, but only after a half pint of lager. Shout out to RCC legend Robbie Crocker though.
Hopes for the 2017 season: To stay competitive in a strong league and to enjoy many lagers with somegood blokes.
Most admirable cricketer in your eyes: Brendon McCullum- for fighting the good fight.
Any superstitions/ pre-match rituals: Not really- I always try and put a shift in for the pre-match football though.
