Radlett CC Lost 1st Game By 7 Wkts 2nd Game By 4 Wkts

Match report Cobden Hill was showered in Cumulus Nimbus as the Radlett Women were let loose on the quagmire of the bottom pitch. It appeared that the men’s Saturday game had helpfully torn up the women’s strip to the extent that some may have mistaken it for a swamp. Special round of applause for all those in the 3XI- well done, congratulations. Nick the grounds man’s floods of tears only added to the saturated flood plains. However nothing was to stop these women as it was resolved they were to play the 8 ball 15 over game on the astro turf. As women always do there was much “umm-ing” and “aahhhh-ing” over which footwear to use, but after abandoning the stilettos and the cricket spikes, the women finally settled on a good old set of smelly , sweaty training shoes.

Captain Louise then made history and WON the toss. She was so surprised by this turn out that she hadn’t actually planned for this eventuality… with no clue as to what was best she hastily shouted “BAT!!!” just in case the result of the toss was declared null due to time wasting.

The day was summed up by Louise Penny, "we need to cover the outfield in kitchen roll, BOUNTY, inorder to sock up all the water" and then LP solved all RCC women's problems with "she doesn't need a runner, she needs whipper- to whip her a she runs along" (....?!?!?!!?)
It's fair to say Louise had a lovely day out :)
