Match report On a warm sunny day, Shamit won the toss, and on a good batting track, and on paper, with the best batting team fielded this season, decided to batt. Brondesbury bowlers kept a good line and lenght, with hardly a bad ball, and Lloyd and Oliver had to work hard for their runs, and when Lloyd was given lbw, Hardain had the same problem, however we did not lose further wickets, and got to the 20 over break on 55/1. Having so many wickets in hand, Hardain and Oliver started to take some risks, but still could not get the run rate above 4 x over, and when Hardain was bowled on the 29 over, we were still on 103, so the next 4 batsman had to take some risks, they did and paid the price, Rikin, Kailash, Matt and Shamit went in and out in 7 overs, scoring a total of 23 runs, while Oliver tried and succeded in not throwing his wicket awat, until getting run out on the 38th over having scored 51 runs.The rest did what the could, but Brondesbury bowlers were just too good on the day and managed to clean the tail on the 42nd over. So we had to produce a similar bowling and fielding performance, if we stood any chance of winning this match, and for a short while we were in the match, having got 2 quick wickets in the first 5 overs, but the aggressive batsman Quaisar, with some luck and dropped catches, took the game away, scoring 80 runs before his luck run out, so Brondesbury got home in the 33rd over, and to be honest they deserved to win, however we are still top, and should be promoted if we win one of our remaining 2 matches.
