Radlett CC U13A v Harpenden on Mon 28 Jun 2004 at 6:00
Radlett CC Lost 23 runs

Match report The game against Hertford was postponed, instead this game
was against Harependen A in the league quater final.

The boys went into the game quite confident, but played the
worst game of the year. Harpenden won the toss and decided
to bat, Radlett bowling and fielding, which had won them so many
games, was disappointing and with 3 dropped catches, and one
missed easy stamping, Harpenden scored steady finishing on 107.
Radlett top 6 order batsman were out in quick succession, and
only managed to score 27 between them, some dismissal were
unlucky, but Harpenden bowlers were very effective, only Neel
and Bhavin managed to put up a fight, and give us a chance, but
when Bhavin had to retire on 30, the tailenders could not get any
way near the 10 runs per over needed

Maybe the occasion got to some players, and on the day Harpenden
were better than us, i just hope that the boys can learn from this defeat,
work hard and be better prepared for next time, which i am sure with
their talent, will not be far away.
