Radlett CC Won 120 runs

Match report A thumping win to end the season from a well disciplined and focussed team. Lee Faulkner and Harry Copley returned to the side and added depth and solidity to the batting which has been erratic in the last two games.
Radlett batted first and made a solid start with Will and James both scoring 10. Will was bowled trying to deposit a loose ball into Watling Street but that was the only wicket lost in the innings.Harry made a good 12 but the biggest score was extras as Old Owens struggled to hit the cut strip.
Radlett's bowling was excellent, limiting a weak Old Owens to 14 runs off the bat.Will and Lee (3-1-3-2)took 2 wickets each but Manaal was again the pick with 3-1-2-3. Old Owens made 169-8 and the margin of victory was a crushing 120 runs.
It has now been confirmed that Shenley have won the league, with Radlett runners up.
That is a fine achievement and I would like to thank all the boys who have turned out and their parents for supporting.In particular I would like to thank Neville Woodehouse who has been a big help in preparing for games and for learning to score in a record short space of time.
Personally I think we had by far the best collection of players in this league;it was just a shame we weren't able to get the very strongest of a strong bunch on the pitch together more often.
The averages on the club's computer system are difficult to maneage because some players are not registered yet and I cannot enter their figures. I have however prepared a summary of the season's figures and the highlights are as follows;
