Scorecard

Radlett CC U9A v Shenley on Tue 29 Jun 2004 at 6:00
Radlett CC Lost 3 runs

Match report Another last over thriller went against Radlett in a game that the boys should have won.
Shenley batted first and were limited to 241-3 net by some tight bowling.Everyone bowled well but Manaal Akhaney aka Little Stumpy (this is because Manaal is not registered on the system and I can only include details of a playing member of whom LS is one) did particularly well with 2-12.
Radlett started well with Will and Manaal putting on 29 for the first wicket although Manaal was caught out. Joe Lewis also got back amongst the runs but the other batsmen in the middle order didn't trouble the scorers whilst crucially giving away 2 dismissals. The last pair seemed to have the game won with only 4 needed from the last 2 overs but whilst they battled hard, 2 more dismissals meant we finished 3 runs short.
It was agonisingly close and the knowledge that this defeat had probably ended hopes of the championship meant we had some very disappointed boys.
