Redbourne v Radlett CC U9A on Fri 30 May 2008 at 6.00
Radlett CC Won 76 runs

Match report A fabulous all round performance, particlarly in the field saw Radlett to a healthy victory against a useful Redbourne team.
Batting first, the boys were assured resolutely blocking the good balls and hitting the bad balls with aggressive intent.George found his best form of the season with a powerful 16 but everyone contributed as we lost only one wicket in making 290.
The bowling was top drawer but we needed to stay calm under pressure as the Redbourne openers began aggressively, hitting a six and running well between the wickets. However, all the work we have done on fielding really came good as three runouts were executed, one a superb direct hit from Freddie. Ben also made two stunning catches, one a low diving effort in the covers and the other a leaping salmon impression off his own bowling which earned a deserved ovation from the watching parents.
Redbourne were deflated and Radlett lifted by the superb catching and ground fielding, eventually losing 9 wickets as they subsided to 214.
An excellent night for Radlett tonight from a group of boys who are really working hard to improve their game.
