Match report The 2008 crop of U9s got off to a convincing start playing some superb cricket.Radlett batted first and the opening pair of George and Ben put on a solid 14. Bobby hit two nice fours in partnership with Theo adding 29. Freddie then smashed 23 including 15 in one over before hitting his own wicket.Aggressive even in the manner of his dismissal!Sachen was also bowled but they did well to add a net 21.Saul and Aneesh then took the score to a highly competitive 283-3.
Langleybury never really had a sniff against some fine pacy bowling,particularly from Saul,who was on a hat trick and Aneesh who was economical as well as threatening.
The fielding was enthusiastic and disciplined. Overall this was a highly promising debut performance.With lots of other promising boys yet to play, a successful season beckons.
