Radlett got off to a poor start losing two wickets to Aquib in the first four overs for only 5 runs. Chelsea, second top scorer with 9, and Maia settled thing down taking 12 runs off the next 4 overs. After 12 overs Radlett were struggling with the score at 206 and the Watford boys feeling very confident. Over the final four overs Lucy and Daisy added 50 runs without loss of wicket making a respectable score of 256. Lucy's 7 fours in a total of 35 were the highlight of the match as Daisy unselfishly ran the singles to give Lucy the strike.
Watford boys batted steadily throughout their innings against some good bowling from Alex, Chelsea and Roohi who conceded only 12 runs from 8 overs. Sumita's two wickets for only 1 run kept the pressure on and was backed up by a further wicket from Sahana. Going into the last over the match was evenly poised with Watford needing 14 runs to win. Their cause was helped when Lucy started the final over with 2 wides and the boys believed they were going to snatch it with Brandan taking 12 from the previous three overs. The next 6 balls saw Lucy take 2 wickets making the match safe for the Radlett girls.
