Match report Radlett lost the toss,were inserted and clubbed a massive 174-3.Is that a record?
Frogmore were weakened by a few of their strongest players going on holiday and in effect had only 9 players.Although they fielded really gamely, the bowling was short on quality and our batsmen weren't in the mood to let them off the hook.Helped by extras Will and Jaimin put on 70 before Will retired on 30 with 6 sweetly timed boundaries.Jaimin was run out for 22 before Joe and Harry continued the withering assault both retiring on 31 and 30 respectively.The stroke play of these two was also top class.The rest of the batsmen contributed and Yiannis on debut for the U12s did some great Sonic the Hedgehog running between the wickets!
Yiannis then kept well as Harry returned to his bail breaking best bowling with pace and accuracy to take 2 early wickets and breaking more RCC equipment. Line and length,a hitherto scarce resource this season was in evidence from Will,Joseph and Rikhil.
The man of the match though was Ayush.He didn't get a bat but nothing got past him in the field where his excellence was noted by all his team mates. He then came on to bowl and took 3-6 with some well flighted and big spinning leg spin.
This was the best fielding performance of the season as the confidence and vim returned.Well done boys,keep it going.
