Langleybury v Radlett CC U13 on Fri 09 May 2008 at 6.00
Radlett CC Won by Radlett

The U13's opened their season with a robust defeat of Langleybury on Friday. Langleybury were all out for 65 in 19 overs with wickets taken by Manaal Akhaney, Ben Lederman, Angus Gillams and Chamesh Mallawarachchi. Khalil Osman also amazingly bowled 4 overs of which 2 were maidens and a total of only 2 runs were given away. Following this Radlett were chasing 66 runs to win, but it was getting late and there was a risk of bad light stopping play. A stalwart performance from James Lawrence (31 not out)plus the usual fast a furious batting by Angus meant we reached this total in just 11 overs just after Oliver Davis reached the crease. This was an excellent performance by all, not least from the players who were joining us for the first time - Freddie Flanagan, Rahul Doegar, Chamesh Mallawarachchi and Jaiman Patel who was on loan to us from the U12s - and our umpire Jonathan Lederman.
