Radlett CC Sunday III v Hemel Hempstead on Sun 15 Jun 2008 at 1.30 p.m.
Radlett CC Won by 76 runs

Match report The first match of this season Chess Valley saw a young Radlett side, come out on top against HH. Cameron won the toss and chose to bat, Neel Malde and Basil Letts raced through the first 10 overs scoring 91 runs before Neel was caught for 68, Hasit was unlucky to get out soon after that for 0, but Basil (58) and Kailash (51) continued the high scoring, with Luca (44 no) and Hemal (27) using the full 45 overs for a total score of 291. In reply HH started well, keeping up with the run rate for the first 15 overs, but when Cameron introduced spin, and with the help of good fielding, the increased over by over, and the opening batsman Waterton decided to stay in, and eventually scored his 100 in the 45th over, but 76 runs short of the score they were chasing. Hemal and Shameel were the pick of the bowlers on a flat pitch that gave little help.
