Match report Abbotts Langley lost to Radlett Development 1X by 111 runs.

This match was played at Watford Town on a good pitch. At last a win!. It was good to welcome back Neel Malde and Hasit Mehta to our Sunday team and with an opening partnership of 143 runs in 22 overs the match was nearly won . Both went on to score 70 runs, but a spirited fight back by Abbotts Langley saw wickets fall steadily , although the run rate was still maintained at over 6 an over.
It was good to have Zed Gitay as captain, and Oz make a good debut. Zed managed to somehow give everyone a bat and bowl.
Our team make up meant that Tej Malde opened the bowling with Daniel Cohen, and Tej bagged 3 wickets, Daniel 1 to have the opposition reeling at 36-4 after 8 overs . Abbots were always behind the run rate but kept battling away. Reece Egerton came on as first change and took 1 for 26 in his 5 overs. Sahil Shah was miserly with his 2 for 5 off 6 overs. Neel Malde, Shameel and Hasit all showed good control with their spin. Harry Benjamin looked very sharp in the field and both he and Johnathan Ayling both shared wicket keeping duties well.
