Match report Radlett won by 76 runs against Sawbridgeworth IV.

Radlett entered this match on a confident high with 6 wins in the last 8 games. The game was contested against Sawbridgeworth set in a picturesque backdrop of East Herts countryside at Leventhorpe school. We lost the toss and were surprisingly asked to bat in reflection of the bowling display seemed a strange choice of tactic by Sawbo. Radlett rattled up 202 for 5 from 47 overs. Batting honours went to Mike's 43 that provided the base of 2 partnerships with Andy Griffith scoring a brisk 45 included 9 4's in the first & Mayur scored 37 in the second partnership. Having only lost 5 wickets Sawbo gained no points and Radlett secured the full 10 in reaching 200 runs. By a determined effort at the crease by young Josh and Ben Martin we reached the target.
Sawbo innings started off hurriedly with a run rate of 4 and the 6th over saw the 1st wicket when Rajput bowled their Captain & the other opener the next over. Radlett already showed a strong batting performance now it was their turn in the bowling. Matt handled the bowlers excellently with Mayur Hindocha picking up 3 wickets all bowled this was a turning point in the match. Matt & Brendan took 2 & 1 wicket respectively & Rajput's 2nd spell saw 2 further late order wickets. The only catches of the match were held by debutant Lee Greenland and the most crucial point came when Sawbo were 9 wickets down. Matt bowled the last over when the no.7 had done all the hard work only to hand a difficult chance to Shabbir at short leg. Radlett celebrated a well deserved win to oust Sawbo trailing on 126 for 10 and no points to further their promotion chances. We stand at 9 in the table and 2 more wins from last 2 matches should place us with a strong Division 11 finish.
