Match report Radlett 5ths moved another rung towards the middle of the Herts League Division 11 with a second consecutive win, swapping places with Old Albanians 3rd after beating them by two wickets in an intriguing game at Queens' School, Bushey.

Chasing the Albanian total of 179-5, Radlett made a good start through Mayur Hindocha (20), Reece Egerton (34) and Andy Griffiths (29), but the loss of three middle order wickets in four balls in one over set up a tense finish. The cool head of captain Charlie Randall (29 not out) saw his team over the finish line with more than three overs to spare.

Randall had not been sure that choosing to field first was the right decision. Tight bowling by Vikram Rajput, John Mansell and Peter Wharton restricted the OA scoring rate to not much more than two runs an over until halfway drinks, but only one wicket had been taken, and the floodgates opened to raise a good total. As with last week, fallible catching hurt Radlett's chances.
