Match report Radlett picked up their 2nd win of the season over at Cockfosters with a great all round team display and contributions from all over the pitch. After winning the toss and electing to bowl, Radlett stuck to their task on a pitch that behaved pretty well and short straight boundaries at each end. Camo (3-37) and Heath (2-29) were the pick of the bowlers but they were all backed up by an improved fielding display where Radlett took their chances and even half chances with the skipper grabbing what could be a contender for catch of the season and maybe more. Radlett slowed Cockfosters run rate right down at the close of their innings and there was always the lingering thought that they were 20-30 short of a defendable score.

Radlett re-jigged the line-up and Chauds and Camo lead the way with a measured but aggressive opening stand of 58 though both perished after doing the hard work of getting a start. Thereafter, Robo and JB took over and both played beautifully as things got harder with the introduction of slower bowlers and the ball becoming softer. JB’s innings, in particular, was very impressive and well thought through, mixing boundaries and hard-running, a very mature knock from the 18 year old from Hazzard County. In the end Radlett reached their goal from the first ball of the final over and they move to 5th in Herts Div 2.
