Match report Following three defeats, which plunged them from top to fifth, Radlett finally found some form to stay in the title race and at the same time condemn the unfortunate Falkland to the drop.

Shane Burger won the toss, asked Falkland to bat and then gave Radlett a great start by clean bowling John Chandler in the first over of the day. Khalid Zafar Malik joined Ben Chapman and played a supporting role as the left-hander consolidated the position and started to take the game to Radlett. However, Chapman, looking dangerous, became Burger's second victim, smartly caught by Kabir Toor.

Malik took up the mantle until he fell for 34, clean bowled by the returning Gareth Berg. By this time, seamer Heath Paynter was making inroads into the Falkland batting as he worked his way through the order mopping up all but one of the remaining wickets to finish with 6 for 10 from 8.3 overs. Unusually for Radlett, the spinners did not get into the attack as the seamers saw seven edges go to hand.

Radlett made short work of victory as Felix Walker (43*) and Tom Jenkins (44*) saw the home side to victory in just 17.5 overs.

The win leaves Radlett in fifth place and with a final match at fourth place Oxford next Saturday. A win would not only avenge the defeat on the final Saturday of last season, it would also give Radlett an outside chance of the title, but other results would have to go very much in Radlett's favour, not least of which would be near neighbours, Welwyn Garden City, upsetting the form book by crushing current leaders, High Wycombe. Nevertheless, this has already been a highly successful season as Radlett have already surpassed their previous highest points total in division 1, set in 2003.
