Match report The Herts county final, played at the beautiful Hailibury College against a good Hertford team was a close match which saw Hertford come out on top. Yes we were all disappointed to lose, but we should always look to the future. If the squad stays together we will have further chances to to compete against the best. Winning the league and playing positive cricket and enjoying it has put a smile on players , mums and dads, hangers on and even the coach throughout the season.
Hertford batted first and Radlett produced probably their best bowling of the year. Line and length restricted the opposition to just 21 runs from the bat. Crucially only 2 wickets were lost as the Hertford batsmen defended well.

Hugo and George L started steadily against good bowling and after 6 overs we were 229 / 0. Possibly the turning point of the match was a superb 1 handed catch, which led to a mid order clatter of wickets. Bhanuj hit out well, but mis timed a pull shot from his last ball. This left the final pair of Alex and Ben with 21 to win. We finished on 222 / 6 six runs short.
