Match report A crushing victory by 124 runs saw Radlett through to the semi finals.Whilst the standard of the opposition was modest,they had peformed creditably against Kings Langley and Hemel.Here though,they were ruthlessly dismantled.
Batting first the boys scored heavily against some Goldilocks bowling,not too fast not too slow,just right for carting all round the ground.But we did it with cultured shots,drilling the ball along the ground,giving maybe only one chance of a catch all night.It was unfortunate that there were 2 run outs as for the first time this seasom we also took a lot of the easy singles that have been going begging.The stand out batsmen were Will and Alex who scored 31 and 33 respectively before retiring.Both timed the ball beautifully and upped the boundary count with superb timing,Will off his legs and off the back foot,Alex with thundrous front foot drives.Joe collected 17 not out,whilst Harry and Jaimin got 10 a piece.141-2 was always going to be too much.

The West Herts innings was like shooting fish in a barrel.After Harry had poleaxed one of their openers with a ball that crashed into his inner thigh, the rest of them did not really fancy the pacy bowling.Anything straight was rewarded and Harry,Udeepa and Luke duly got their rewards for quick straight bowling.The top score for West Herts was byes.Top score off the bat was 1.

This win puts us into the semis but we need to beat Hemel to win the League for the third year in succession and be sure of a home draw.If we can get our best team on the pitch on the same day, we will be very hard to beat.That is a big if though with holdidays coming up.............
