Match report Radlett lost the toss and were put into bat.The astro strip played low and slow and runs were hard to come by as Kings Langley fielded well and bowled good lines with the pace off the ball.Boundaries came at reasonably regular intervals.After losing Jaimin Patel early, Will Wright and Harry Copley put on the best stand of the innings,27 before Hary was caught at mid off for 9. Will holed out for 29 and it was left to Joe Lewis to add a gloss to the innings with 20 not out including a last over 6 to get us up to a competitive 91.
The boys then fielded and bowled tigerishly to earn victory.Hostile openeing spells from Joe and Udeepa were followed by choking accuracy from Will,Harry and Joseph Silva who bowled beautifully on debut.Kings Langley only had 36 on the board after 15 overs and whilst there was a little flurry at the end,Simeon extracted revenge for being hit for only the second 4 in the innings by bowling the batsman next ball with a nice floater.
A special mention to my two men of the match;
Fergus Browne who caught Kings Langley's county player with a good catch at mid off to put the skids under their innings early on and Ayush Oza who fielded really well,showing great enthusiasm.
A really good team performance by all concerned.
