Radlett CC Lost 2 wickets

Match report Radlett lost the toss and were stuck in to bat. We stuck with the same openers Mike and Scott and unfortunately both fell early, Scott, caught for 4 and Mike bowled for six. Charlie Randall also fell early for 8. We looked like we were going to struggle after being 25-3 off 9 overs.But after good sensible batting from Steve Morris (34), Matthew Bell (29), Jamie Wells (14) and possibly one of the batting performances of the season came from Toby Sutherland with a super 60*. Also A.Brant got a good 16 and Jez Menzies batting very sensibly by giving Toby the stike and taking quick singles for 8*.In the end we ended up batting all our overs out ending up on 197 for 9.

After tea we opened up with Scott L and Sheri Jahangir. On a quick wicket we bowled to short and wide and the openers used the pace off the ball to score quick runs. After 7 overs Abbots Langley were 55-0. We then decided to change the bowling from both ends with Jez and Toby. Both Started very, very well and slowed the run rate down. Abbots Langley were 70 off 17overs. Then on Came Charlie and Ashley Tillett who both bowled well again. 170 for 6 with sheri coming back on and taking 4 wickets in one over. It looked like the game could go any way but Abbots Kangley knocked the runs off with 5 overs left and 8 wickets down. However we took 17 points from the game.
