Radlett CC 3rd XI v Shenley Village on Sat 18 Aug 2007 at 1.00 p.m.
Match was Drawn Abandoned due to weather

Match report A game that looked like it was getting away from Radlett was saved by the weather.

Batting first in an attempt to score some points with the weather forecast saying rain at 5.30 Radlett got off to a terrible start with Matt Soffair (batsman of the year so far) top edging Wendell Roberts to former Radlett colleague Morgan Stanley. Mark Gray and Dom Ingram scored nicely against Roberts and Saquie and Shenley decide to bring on the nagging medium pace of Evans G. He and Woodward with his off spin tie Radlett down and take wickets at regular intervals as we collapse to 140 all out with only Richard Hardy and Matt Barrett scoring runs.

A disappointing effort from Radlett despite some good bowling from Evans and Woodward..

Tea is taken and SV decide to attack in the vain hope the weather will hold and at 37 - 0 from 10 looks a good decision, but Meteroroligal genius Richard Hardy is correct as at 5.11 the rain comes down and the players troop off never to return.

2 points does not help us but the 10 for a rain interrupted game is better and SV (well one of them leaves Radlett a bitter man)
