Match report The rains of Saturday evening had given way to a sunny Sunday afternoon for a young Radlett side to take on the nomadic Pacific side. Having lost the toss and been put into bat, Radlett started slowly but confidently against some determined bowling. Captain Colin Warne was unluckily run out when caught out of his ground by some very quick thinking and even quicker fielding. However, he and Mark Gray had put on an opening partnership of 60 runs in just under an hour.

The loss of Mark Gray seven overs later at 84-2 saw the end of the only other significant partnership. Pacific were greatly indebted to Wilkinson who took eight wickets for just 21 runs, 6 of them in just 13 deliveries.

Radlett's final score of 123 all out in 42.1 overs reflected a very slow outfield with only 12 boundaries being scored and in one case 4 runs actually being run.

Pacific were also unable to establish a quick run rate, scoring at a similar rate to Radlett. Superb bowling by Mark Gray, Sam Rickerty (3 wicket maidens) and David Newman kept Pacific in check, taking wickets and crucial times and preventing Pacific from establishing any momentum.

Radlett's victory was thanks to some very good tight bowling and not allowing their heads to fall in spite of having to defend what initially looked like too small a target.
