Watford Town v Radlett CC 2nd XI on Sat 28 Jul 2007 at 1.30 p.m.

Match report
Radlett held on at the end for a deserved draw, despite the sorry looking scorecard.
Watford won the toss and decided to bat and started slowly losing skipper Sen for 10 and Knox for 3 both to fantastic leg side catches from the ageless Colin Warne. Manzoor and Riaxz dug in but when Manzoor was snared by a brilliant low Fielden catch to leave Watford at 50-3 in the 20th over it was hard to see Watford posting 180.
That they did was down to Riaz who anchored the innings for 39 from 109 balls which allowed Sharp 60* from 78 and a blistering Simon Jacksonesque 40 from 23 balls from Mun ir to take Watford up to 211 for 7. This included hitting a Paynter no ball for 6.
Chaudry and Nawab bowled well and Radlett fielded really well but could not stop the late onslaught.
Radlett's innings started badly when log Smith was bowled missing a straight one from spinner Manzoor. Youngsters Randall and Tillett batted well pusing the scoreboard along until Ash got an inside edge onto his stumps to Manzoor. Randall then got am LBW. Dill and Fielden then entered the fray and played supremely as would be expected, with Graham particularly harsh on anything pitched up and smashing Munir out of the attack.
This prompted Watford to take the new ball with South African Van Ee and Afridi not being allowed to settle. All looked good for the Radlett until Dill fell to an LBW. Fielden then anchored the innings as Jacko failed for the first time this season and Ahmed played lovely cover drives until he was out .
Chaudry batted really well against his old club reminding them that he was the last man to score 1000 runs in a season for Watford. Wickets kept falling and the rate became impossible so Chauds and The Riddler settled for the draw.
11 points is scant reward for a good game when the opposition took 19.
