Radlett CC 1st XI v Gravesend on Sun 15 Jun 2003 at 1:00
Radlett CC Won 7 wickets

Match report Radlett cruised through their latest round of the Evening Standard cup competition with a comfortable 7 wicket victory over their plucky visitors from Kent. However the win was tempered with the news that opening bowler Stuart Browne will miss the next couple of weeks having broken a finger attempting a catch on the fine leg boundary.

Graham Dill was the star of the show with an economical 2-26 in his 10 over spell during the crucial middle period of the game. He and Oz Edwards frustrated the Gravesend players who did not reach the century mark until the 38th over. Bearing this is mind their final total of 207 was a good effort and was in part due to some lusty blows towards the end of the innings.

In reply Nick Fielden looked to be returning to form with a cultured 26 on his 29th birthday as did Nick Hampton who was unlucky to be run out for an aggesive half century. Radlett never looked in danger of defeat as Graham Dill continued his excellent start to the season with a savage 72. Matt Evans, 25 not out and Tony Pickett 13 not out ensured that the majority of the bumper crowd went home happy.
