Match report On a day that started with an email at 2.25 in the morning telling me that one of my players is ill, I dread the thought of the game. Not to worry that I am in charge of blood doning for the day and have to leave the team in the capable hands of Max Miller. But being Radlett things do not go smoothly and Max has been struck down with an illness and Don Guerrini and Dhiresh Shah end up taking charge. I found the eleventh man hiding under a stone at the club and we set off on the annual visit to Hertford for one of our 234 games against Hertford.

The firsts are at Hertford and I have arranged to pick up Luca and take him to Hertford and we arrive at 11.35. Time for the game to be nearly finished I hear ytou say, BUT Oh no this is Radlett Under 15's and the game is in the 16th over of the first inning and I arrrive just in time to see South Africa Airlines flying (Josh Horschowitz) and swooping to take a fabulous catch to remove the dangerous Ridley.

Radletts bowling appeared to be tight and we were set 96 to win. The Kakkad clan had opened up and good spells from Pavir, Yasir, Dangerous Deano and Sahil allowed Daniel and Josh to close out the innings with the target being acceptable.

Yasir thought he was in a County 20/20 game and was retired at 33 in the 7th over with 52 on the board. We then made a little bit of heavy weather in closing the game off with Joel, Mehul and Daniel falling to Paddles the Duck and it was left to Dean to smash the winning runs in what was a close fought game played in a fantastic spirit.

It was great to see so many parents at the ground and I hope a lot of you can watch the 2 games we are putting on on 26th July at Hertford and Hemel.

Thanks again to Don Gezza and Profeesor Dumbledore for their help. It was also good to see Anju competing hewr 56th lap of the track when the winning runs were hit. I hate to tell her but the sport relief mile was yesterday (Saturday)
