Match report Radlett needed to win this match and made easy work of it to be crowned
champions of the SWest division.
Ameer Kamal won the toss and put WHerts into bat, opening bowlers Phil
Simmons 3/12 and Jai Shah 1/14 were as usual deadly, but well backed up by
Neel Malde 1/6 and Dylan Baskaran 1/3, however the added bonus came from
the younger Sahill Shah 2/8 and Daniel Cohen 2/4 who finally got to bowl instead
of just fielding for 20 overs, W.Herts put in a good effort to reach 53 all out.
In reply Radlett openers Basil Letts and Anuj Amarshi made good starts, but got
out in single figures, and with Ameer Kamal also gone at 31/3 after 8 overs, the
boys were putting themselves under a little bit of pressure, however Sahill Shah 6 no
and Luca Guerrini 15 no, reached the required total in the 11th over.
We will now stage a quater final match next week at Radlett, and hopefully go on
to the county finals on the 2nd of July.
Congratulations to all of the boys that have played for me so far this season,
going by their reactions after each game, they have enjoyed playing cricket,
and will continue to do so in the future, hopefully with Radlett, they are a credit
to the club.
