Radlett CC U13B v Shenley Colts LC on Tue 04 Jul 2006 at 18:00
Radlett CC Won 5 runs

Match report As usual, Radlett won the toss & batted. An excellent opening partnership from Hershil Lakhani & Vishaal Patel saw Radlett reach 67 from 11 overs against steady Shenley bowling on a pitch of variable bounce. When they were out trying to force the pace, Neel Shah, Harry Benjamin and Sam Miller after Harry was bowled continued to make progress, with the running between the wickets a notable improvement on early season efforts and Radlett reached 132-3 from their 20 overs. When Shenley batted they also scored steadily on a fast outfield, reaching 52 without loss. However, a change by Alex Kilhams from medium pace to spin brought about a mini collapse as Alex took 3-16, while 2 run outs were also achieved. The retirement of Shenley's 2 top batsmen slowed the scoring rte and Radlett realsied they could win the game. Tome Blazevski started the last over with Shenley requiring 6 to win and Tome kept up his recent improvement by bowling the last man with his third ball. Another exciting finish and well done boys - we are now making a habit of winning these!
