Match report Got there late traffic and general shambles. Started at 2.00pm having won the toss put ourselves in on what for a 5th XI track looked like a good one.Our openers Ben Thornill and matt Soffair confirmed this by easing untroubled past the 50 mark. Then a rush of blood accounted for matt and a shooter for Ben, enter Hassit Mehta who looked very assured for a youngster and batted nicely for 20 odd, unfortunately his more senior partner at the crease and guest skipper Sutherland perished cheaply adjudged LBW. Hemal Malde another promising youngster, hang around for a while with Hassit, but when they perished the middle order collapse inevitably followed with Eagle and Shabir Foyez falling too cheaply to leave us rather perilously below 140 and with no batting points. Enter the unlikely duo of Neil Lederman and Naranka Nonis refreshed after his fish and chips! To in very dramatic and entertaining fashion take our score and with it 10 batting points passed the 200, Leders fini! shed on 40 and we managed 201 after 53 overs.

The bowling performance was far more emphatic, with Leders continuing his form and bowling very nicely to pick up 4 wickets. Young Daniel Cohen, steadying the nerves to bowl a good off stump line and pick up 2 good wickets and Sutherland bowling with renewed vigour to claim 3, unfortunately though despite our best efforts including eagle trying to chest one into the air a few catches went down and we could not manage the 10th wicket. Ware finished on 90 odd for 9 after 47. And were a jolly nice bunch of blokes in a lovely setting. So 19 points a lovely days cricket that Radlett dominated and some very promising youngsters. Vickram's team remain in a very strong position.
