Match report Despite an excellent match and a good all round performance, Radlett could not overcome last-wicket resistance which would have given them victory.

Radlett, batting first, made a solid start with Ashley Tillett looking particularly set, striking the ball with authority until he was bowled just short of a half century. Simon Randall, in for the injured Dom Ingram, was soon to be joined by Iain Edwards following the fall of another two wickets, and they proceeded to create a solid platform, each reaching their half centuries. What had initially looked like a potentially modest total of about 200 soon grew as the middle order were able to launch an onslaught on the back of the solid foundation. Mark Silva and Brian Dummer took the game to Hertingfordbury and pushed the total beyond 250. Silva hit three sixes, two of them out of the ground, in his quickfire 32 not out.

Dummer and Tillett opened with the old ball and expectations moderated as Hertingfordbury moved to 120 in the first 20 overs. It was then Tillett who started to make inroads and proceeded to take the first 4 wickets to fall. Part-time bowler Paul Windmill was introduced and he made an immediate impact removing Hertingfordbury's key batsman. The new ball was taken and Ros Carpenter used it and his speed to remove two more and with 10 overs remaining, Hertingfordbury were down to their last pair. But it wasn't to be. Stout defence saw the final pair hang on for the draw in a match that could have gone either way.
