Match report A winning start for a very inexperienced Radlett side . Radlett lost the toss and were asked to bat.The Tring bowling was fairly erratic with a lot of extras. Banvj and Sam opened sensibly,with the solitary wicket being Sam's dismissal caught at cover.Ben and Alex found the going tough against but amongst a flurry of wides Ben missed a straight one so after 2 pairs the score had reached 208. It had got to 214 after Adam and William were tied down by some straighter bowling,although Adam pulled one cracking 4. The most aggressive batting came from Abdullah and Ramitha who took the score to 233 with some big shots and eccentric running.Abdullah blazed his way to 17 and even being bowled couldn'yt take the smile off his face.
Radlett bowled a lot straighter than Tring and in the end that was the difference.Banuj and Abdullah were hostile and with a slightly better line could have taken a few wickets.In the end, only 3 wickets fell, all to the slower bowlers.Adam bowled one batsman and Ben bowled another with a leg spinner before Abdullah took a good catch off his bowling.
A special mention to William who kept beautifully all night and conceded only one bye.
A promising performance from a team who should have a lot more to offer as they gain in experience.
