Match report A comprehensive win to start the season but not a sparkling peformance.Langleybury started late giving the local Chavs the opportunity to leave the local yoof club and break into 3 cars in the car park. Radlett batted first and due to interminable field setting by committee their hosts condemned themselves to batting in near darkness which was not that bright given our bowling attack. The outfield was very wet and the opposition's bowling disappointing;lots of wides and no balls and very little pace on the ball.Radlett's batting was lack lustre with only Simeon hitting double figures striking the ball well in the air to reach 11. 4 wickets went down two bowled by rogue straight ones, one caught off a 3mph long hop and one run out trying to run a bye to the keeper who had collected the ball and was standing 2 yards from the stumps.We finished on 264-4 net which was not bad considering the wet outfield and early season rustiness.We will have to bat much better aginst better teams however.

Langleybury's inexperienced batsmen only scored 11 off the bat.Radlett's bowlers were unlucky not to get more wickets as numerous balls skirted close to the stumps or,on the astro, bounced over.Langleybury finished only just in positive territory.

Man of the match was Fergus Brown who batted sensibly and bowled with pace and hostility.
