Match report On Tuesday evening the girls played the top of the table team and were unfortunately well beaten by superior batting. Most of the girls batted quite sensibly but lacked the scoring shots and on occasions missed out on quick singles which were possible and would have kept the scoreboard ticking over. They scored only 31 off the bat in total and as they lost 5 wickets the score could have been an awful lot worse had the boys not generously donated 45 extras.
The girls also bowled far too many wides and the fielding wasnt always up to the standard that they usually attain.The boys batted well with 3 making double figures and only one wicket lost.
Despite losing it was an enjoyable game and one which Abbots Langley thought they might have won even more easily. We certainly didnt disgrace ourselves.Well done!
