Match report This top of the table clash was played on a warm evening in Radlett and was keenly contested by both sides.

Watford inserted Radlett and were soon on the front foot having removed both openers with only 2 on the board. A hostile opening spell from Hardwick and Stangar kept runs at a premium as the hosts looked to establish themselves in the game. However some positive batting from Robbie Plum, 22, and Alex Garvey, 25, brought Radlett back into the match., although scoring runs was still hard work. Harry Lee-Clark made a useful 11, before becoming Stangars 2nd wicket and Radlett closed at 77 for 5 off the 20 overs.

Watford were soon into their stride and while Radlett’s bowling and fielding was good, Chris and Jamie were able to find the gaps, and always looked in control. Charlie Griffths finally bowled Jamie for 16, while Chris retired out on 30. Charlie went on to make 19 and saw his side home with 3 overs to spare.

The game was played in a good spirit and a strong Watford side were worthy winners.
