Match report The U12Bs lost for the first time last evening to a much improved Redbourne side. Redbourne won the toss and batted, Jos Oliver lead from the front and made 29no, Radlett took wickets regularly, with Robbie Plumb and George Pepper both taking 2 wickets, and Edward, Marcus and Alessandro each grabbing one each. Edward also ran out one batsman with a direct hit. Max Pope and Dan Lewis both made 11, Dan coming in last made his top score of the season, but no-one else made double figures and Redbourne were all out for 96.
Radlett started badly and got worse, a mix-up accounted for Alex Garvey, run out for 1, which brought Alessandro Arnaldi to the crease. He went on to top score with 31no but could only watch as all the other batsmen found a way to get out. Redbourne kept a tight line and length with Matt Taylor, Connor Heaney and Jos Smith all taking 2 wickets. Roy Harris made a useful 13, before another mix-up left him well out of his ground and after that all the Radlett batsmen came quietly.
A comfortable win for Redbourne who ran out deserved winners, and a reality check for Radlett, after a good start to the season.
