Radlett CC Won by 27 runs

Match report Radlett's win against the league leaders puts us back on top of the
league by just 1 point though the Berkhamstead vs Chorleywood match
result is still unknown. We turned up today with good attitude
eventhough we were missing 3 key players due to school expedition. It
was always felt that the U10s are blessed with too many talented
players and it's only good news as we will need 11 players from next
year.
Oli captaining for the 2nd time in a row won the toss and decided to
bat first. The boys were focused on their task and put on a healthy
total of 279 runs. Oli 19 not out and Meepam's 16 were the highlight.
Everyone else chipped in well but we also lost 2 wickets. It's really
a good improvement as we are far too prone to give our wickets away.
An area we will have to work on in coming days really hard.
In reply Langleybury were put through more misery as we got 2 early
wickets - and tight bowling meant they were going below the asking rate
much faster than they anticipated. Meepam again did well with the
gloves and managed a run out. Our fielding was excellent and throwing
back from deep in the field was admired by the spectators.
Last years star player Thomas Hick was called in and made good impact,
surely makes his place at this level more permanent.
