Stevenage v Radlett CC U15 on Fri 24 Jun 2011 at 6.00
Radlett CC Won 8 runs

Match report A weakened team ground out a win in very dark and damp conditions. It started raining half way through our innings and didn't let up until the game ended.
Our batting was held together by Tom who reached a well deserved 50 while Simeon played well for 18 before getting out to a shocking ball, caught behind as the ball dipped off its second bounce.Nearly as bad a ball as the wide Will was stumped off....
Stevenage looked like they were cruising until Amaan (U13)bowling beautifully snaffled two with great lines, length and hostility. Will then closed it out with his best bowling of the season,4-1-5-1.It wasn't a night for our wrist spinners!
Men of the match, Oliver Ben and Pav who turned out at short notice and didn't get to bat or bowl-all were down to bowl but unfortunately the game became so tight it was not possible on this occasion. However, this is what makes a club strong-boys prepared to play for the team in filthy conditions and contribute to a great team spirit.Special thanks to Ben who stepped in for a player who did not have the courtesy to advise whether he would play or not.
Well done boys.
