Match report Stevenage had a weakened team out but Radlett took full advantage.Winning the toss Radlett batted first and scored freely from the off.Will was surprised by the first ball of the innings, a hip high slow full toss and chipped it straight to midwicket who shelled it.It set the pattern for a pretty ragged Stevenage bowling and fielding performance.Will and Rohan cruised to 91 in 11 overs before Rohan,having hit the leg spinner Flood for a mighty 6 onto the railway, was caught behind off a beauty.Rohan made 45 off 39 balls with 6 4's and a 6.Joe then departed first ball to a poor shot bowled between his legs as the leg spinner began to find his length and confidence.James Scott was also bowled cheaply before Will retired for 50 off 40 balls with 8 fours.Jaimin and harry also departed cheaply after striking boundaries before Luke made sure we did not squander our good start by bludgeoning 36 off 23 balls with 6 4's.He was fortunate to get a bat after making some wholly uncalled for comments about the Manager's shirt in the warm up.James Stowell also swung hard for 14 not out.
It was a record score for YP's 20 over cricket but we could have been more ruthless still.Some singles were left on the table and the middle order did not fire.
The bowling was not at its best as we had to rush through the overs to beat the light.To be fair Stevenage did not bat badly but were never going to threaten the target.Luke and Harry opened with their customary pace with harry being more accurate and claiming a wicket.Harman was again very tidy picking up two more wickets as was Ramaner.James Stowell took a good catch and Simeon and Will, bowling offies, rushed the last 4 overs.
A good win saw the boys in very high spirits and devouring well earned burgers from the barbecue!
