Match report Radlett Women were unlucky to come up against a very strong batting line-up in their first game of the season against Hayes. Having lost the toss, the first breakthrough was made by Anya with wicketkeeper McCrea taking an excellent catch behind. The run rate was eventually slowed and Piya's 1-29 from 8 overs bodes well for the rest of the season. The Hayes total proved daunting for the top order, but an impressive rearguard action from Piya, Anya, Lucy and Laura frustrated them in the field. As our Captain wisely observed in the post-match team talk, there are plenty of positives to take from today and we are looking forward to playing on the top pitch for our next two matches! Support would be most welcome :).
