Match report A maiden century by Lee Greenland gave Radlett fifths some belated consolation as they were outclassed by a strong Frogmore side at Park Street.

A 127-run defeat pushed Radlett into the Division 10 relegation zone for the first time this summer, and on current form with the players available they will struggle to match the table's top-half sides.

Borehamwood schoolboy Greenland, 18, played with confidence after coming in at number six with the score on 18 for four. His judgment was sound and he used his impressive stroke range well to strike 20 fours, reaching 101 with last man Dean Caplin at the crease.

Out of Radlett's total of 151 the next highest scorer was Ross Bratt with 11. Shabbir Foyez was caught and bowled in the first over and Daniel Garfield was bowled first ball in the third. No run for two wickets was not the start envisaged. Arif Rahman was welcomed back to the fifths, but made the cardinal error of running out his captain.

The second half of the innings was assisted by rain showers and a slippery ball that doused the fire of Frogmore's menacing new-ball attack. Greenland drove powerfully on both sides of the wicket and put away the loose stuff unerringly. He added 43 for the eighth wicket with Ender Tahsin and 26 for the last wicket with Caplin, who reached the crease with his colleague still a long way short of his ton.

Frogmore cruised to 278 against some mediocre bowling. Rob Millard, the captain, put in a consistent second spell and finished with 5-55, but the number of long-hops bowled by Radlett's weakened attack made a depressing sight, and Frogmore, always on top, were assisted by 13 no-balls. Alert ground fielding was Radlett's only redeeming feature.
