After winning the toss and choosing to field in damp and overcast conditions, Brownie made the initial breakthrough to reduce Hitchin to 22-1. A partnership of 48 for the 2nd wicket followed, before Seb Schusman made the crucial breakthrough during a good spell of 8 overs. The star of the show though was James Lewis, who took wickets a regular intervals in his spell of 15.2 overs, taking a superb 8-38. Hitchin had been bowled out for 139, losing their last 9 wickets for 69, including a very sharp leg-side stumping from Tom Stewart.

Radlett didn’t get off to the best of starts, and were reduced to 16-2, before Grant joined Matt Lewis at the crease. They put on a partnership of 56 and looked as if they were going to win the game, before Grant holed out to deep midwicket. Wickets starting falling at regular intervals, before the tail wagged to help out Matt, before he was bowled for 61. It was then left to Brandon Lewis to hit the winning runs with 1 wicket in hand.

A great 1st ½, a 4th win out of 5 games, and an amazing contribution from Jimbo.
