Radlett CC Won by 8 wickets

Match report Radlett ll's easily overcame a stubborn Leverstock Green, to maintain their fine start to the season.

Skipper Jones, lost the toss and to everyone's surprise Radlett took to the field.

Success came early as both JB and Grant took a wicket, JB's thanks to a sharp catch by Kailash.

When Grant bowled Littlejohn, the Green's had been sent back to the Forest and were struggling on 19-3 after 10 0vers. Sandeep replaced JB and bowled as miserly as Murali, with 20 fielders!! After 10 overs Sandeep had figures of 0-10. The wheels then started to come off the Green machine and Sandeep wheeled away (as he was on a promise from Priya that she would make him pay with an expensive meal tonight) and he tore the heart out of Greens batting, and ended up with figures of 4-18 in nearly 20 overs.

Grant got 3 wickets and bowled a lively pace. Dave Trethaway wheeled away and was rewarded with the crucial wicket of Merritt

A good fielding performance and a super bowling show reduced Leverstock to 136 all out.

We moved to the tea room for a sumptious tea and when we got back be to the field a decision had been made .......... win quickly!!!

Matt Lewis and JB opened up and after JB had hit one glorious cover drive he was out. Albie came in and nearly saw things through but after he and Matt Lewis with his best innings of his season saw things through to 135 for 2 until Albie reverse swept a ball into the skippers hands.

Albie and Matt both were superb on anything loose and deservedly saw RCC to a win.
