Match report A good win and a good start to the season.

After winning the toss and electing to field, our 3 seamers restricted the Chorleywood batsmen well, supported by some good fielding. Robbie Crocker then bowled a good spell of 20 overs, taking 2 wickets, with new boy Dave Tretheway also taking 2 wickets, as the spin twins made inroads into the Chorleywood lineup. Overseas pro, Grant Mokoena returned to the attack with devastating effect, taking 5 wickets in his 2nd spell and ending with 6-22 off 11 overs. Chorleywood eventually being bowled out for 174 in the last over.

With a good wicket and fast outfield, the target seemed easily within reach. Shil Patel got the innings off to a good start, but unfortunately wickets kept falling at the other end due to poor shot selection. However, Shil remained calm and saw the 2nds home with 3 wickets to spare, ending on 93 not out.

Overall a good performance, with 2 outstanding contributions from Grant and Shil, and 30 points!
