Match report Monday 25th July Hertford 133 all out lost to Radlett U15s 225-7 by 92 runs in 40 over per side match.

Despite cold, damp & cloudy conditions, Radlett won the toss & decided to bat as they had a strong batting line up. Ameer Kamal & Luca Guerrini saw off the opening bowlers without too much discomfort but the scoring rate was rather slow with only 25 runs scored after 11 overs. Luca then kicked on & Ameer was unluckily bowled by one that kept low for 3 with the score on 40 in the 13th over. Morgan Stanley came in & he & Luca scored at 8 an over with Morgan caught for 27in the 22nd over with the score on 92. Luca reached his second 50 as opener in successive Under 15 matches & was then stumped charging down the wicket. Hasit Mehta & Neel Malde then had to get in but keep the score moving. Neel was run out But the introduction of the captain Shamit Nathwani (56no) saw an 88 run partnership in 10 overs with Mehta. Shamit batted aggressively but also intelligently in hitting some good straight drives & running well for singles such that there were few dot balls. He was unbeaten on 56, Mehta was run out for 38. Kieran Collopy scored a quick 8 runs at the end & despite losing a couple of cheap further wickets, 225-7 was a formidable target.
Hertford started well in reply, coping with the miserly Collopy & Parag Shah well. Parag Shah was then involved in an unfortunate run out off a misfiled with the score on 22. in the 8th over. Iasnos came on & had Birch caught for a duck by Malde.
There followed a 48 run partnership between Alex Lodge(22) & Oliver Wray before Morgan Stanley took 2 wickets off successive balls, both bowled. The young I Ridley came in at 6 & looked impressive for his 17 runs. Reed was run out by an excellent piece of fielding by Collopy. Sahil Shah, playing his first U15 match showed bowled economically. Wray went on to reach 58 before being stumped off Kamal’s bowling by Guerrini.Rishi Naidoo took 2 wickets & Neel Malde came on at the end to take 2 wickets in 3 balls to seal a comprehensive victory.
